Many of us find solace and slowness by engaging in a craft activity—a form of labor not tied to an imposed deadline, not determined by a paycheck, not demanded by an institution. We access moments of creative time, quiet time, community time, and reflective time by making time for and with craft. As we continue to hold, navigate, and survive the multiple crises we face under the increasingly authoritarian governance around the globe, making time for craft becomes ever-more a strategy for crafting our liberation. So bring your needle and thread, your beads, your embroidery hoop, your paints and brushes, your clay, your scrapbook, your scissors and magazine pages, and join NWSA Member-at-Large Jessica Pabón for an hour of feminist crafting and conversation.
Please Note: All are welcome to register for NWSA events and co-sponsored opportunities. NWSA Members should login to their accounts for the smoothest event registration process. Folks without an active NWSA membership will be prompted to register (ie. create a profile free of charge) with the Association in order to complete a non-member registration; in this case, you will not be charged for a membership but you will not be able to access member discounts and/or rates!
