Body Politics
What is the role of “the body” in feminism? How does feminism resist, recast, or reproduce dominant theories, images, and ideas about bodies? This presentation addresses questions theoretically, historically, politically, cross culturally, and through the analysis of contemporary issues such as race, disability, sexuality, appearance discrimination, and embodied forms of resistance.
