The Program Administration and Development Committee (PA&D) is a standing committee in NWSA specifically designed to represent the interests and needs of administrators of women's studies programs and departments to the Governing Council of NWSA and to assist NWSA in meeting the needs of women's administrators and their departments and programs.

NWSA Data Collection Project

NWSA is partnering with the National Organization for Research (NORC) at the University of Chicago to collect data on the field of women’s studies nationally.

Women of Color Leadership

The WoCLP is designed to increase the number of women of color students and faculty within the field of women’s studies and, consequently, to have an impact on the levels of participation and power by women of color in the PA&D, NWSA, and in the field of women’s studies as a whole.

Description:
The National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) invites applications for its Institutional Diversity Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. This university-wide initiative seeks to advance the Center’s national commitment to institutional diversity; to promote its strategic agenda to bridge exemplary scholarship with multilevel engagement and innovation; and to help recruit outstanding faculty with strong commitments to diversity.
A successful candidate will be attractive as both an NCID fellow and a tenure-track or research faculty member.

We especially invite applications from candidates whose interests in diversity issues cross interdisciplinary boundaries in the eight core NCID priority areas and from scholars from institutions other than the University of Michigan. Candidates from any background, including international scholars, and from any field of study are welcome to apply. Senior faculty are also welcome to nominate suitable candidates.

Description:
The Communication Department and the Women's Studies Program at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX invite applications for a JOINT tenure-track position in RHETORIC AND WOMEN'S STUDIES at the rank of assistant professor, starting September 1, 2009. We seek candidates who specialize in the intersections of race/ethnicity and gender in public discourse. Preference will be given to candidates whose work addresses rhetoric in historical and contemporary social movements and complements the Communication Department's existing strengths in the history of public discourse in the United States. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in communication or a related field by the date of the appointment, should demonstrate commitment to Women's Studies as an academic discipline (a graduate certificate or advanced degree in women's studies is desirable but not essential), and should demonstrate a record of or potential for strong scholarly publication and successful teaching in both Communication and Women's Studies.
