The Program Administration and Development Committee (PA&D) is a standing committee in NWSA specifically designed to represent the interests and needs of administrators of women's studies programs and departments to the Governing Council of NWSA and to assist NWSA in meeting the needs of women's administrators and their departments and programs.

NWSA Data Collection Project

NWSA is partnering with the National Organization for Research (NORC) at the University of Chicago to collect data on the field of women’s studies nationally.

Women of Color Leadership

The WoCLP is designed to increase the number of women of color students and faculty within the field of women’s studies and, consequently, to have an impact on the levels of participation and power by women of color in the PA&D, NWSA, and in the field of women’s studies as a whole.

Description:
The Associate Director is responsible for all non-credit programs of the Institute for Women's Studies and Services including student support services designed to recruit and retain a diverse student body.
Coordinate conferences, workshops, lectures, publications, publicity, and other campus-wide co-curricular activities related to women's issues and social justice.

*Provide advocacy for students, staff, and faculty as appropriate (e.g. sexual discrimination, sexual harassment) and mediation for students, staff, and faculty as appropriate.
*Assume overall administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Director.
*Develop and coordinate services to recruit, retain, and assist Metro State students with a focus on women, including, but not limited to, general individual advising and information and referral, particularly for re-entry and transfer students.
*Provide resource information in the areas of child care, social services, emergency housing, financial assistance, and legal issues.
*Develop relationships with local organizations serving women and girls.
*Develop, coordinate, and assess all non-credit institute activities.
*Act as a liaison to appropriate campus offices and entities.
*Work with Program Assistant to hire, train and supervise student staff.
*Work with Director to hire, train and supervise the Institute's Program Assistant.
*Advise and provide support to student clubs.
*Provide input on campus policies and procedures with regard to the impact on women as appropriate.
*Develop publications that inform and educate students.
*Provide services that support the academic women's studies program.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: 1) Master's degree: Women's Studies, Human Services, Counseling, Education or related field. To be considered in fields other than Women's Studies, completion of some course-work in Women's Studies must be documentable; 2) Three years combined experience directing, coordinating, and/or managing campus or community-based women's programs and/or agencies; 3) Supervisory experience with both paid staff and volunteers;
4) Conference, workshop, and meeting planning experience; 5) Knowledge of national, regional, state, and local women's organizations and agencies, and participation in relevant local, state, and national organizations, assuming leadership roles as appropriate and; 6) Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Preferred: 1) Bi-lingual Spanish proficiency; 2) Web skills and 3) Graphic arts skills.

Description:
Saint Mary\'s University of Minnesota (Winona campus) seeks a dynamic professional to serve as director of the Institute. The director will lead this growing four-year-old institute which has as its overriding objective the nurturing and development of women leaders.

Responsibilities for this 12 month position include program management, student recruitment, curriculum oversight, teaching, and fundraising for the Institute. Master\'s degree strongly preferred, along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to the university\'s Catholic mission and to the advancement and education of women. Salary range: $38,000-$45,000.

Description:
Western Carolina University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Women?s Programs. This position reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and oversees a comprehensive cluster of programs and activities to meet the educational, personal achievement and advocacy needs of women at Western Carolina University. The Director is also responsible for initiating, organizing, and administering leadership programs and services for students, staff, and faculty while creating awareness and support for women within the university through participation in campus planning activities and campus and community committees.

A Master's Degree is required in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, Women?s Studies, or related field. Preference will be given to candidates who show evidence of strong skills in interpersonal competence, written and oral communication, organization and planning, creativity, programming, conflict resolution, budgeting experience, leadership development, counseling, and sensitivity to diversity issues. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to establishing partnerships with faculty and other campus departments.
