The Secretary serves on NWSA's executive committee and takes minutes at the Governing Council, Membership Assembly, and Delegate Assembly meetings. The secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records of these proceedings, especially with regard to motions that are passed. The secretary distributes minutes of those meetings to their respective members no more than thirty (30) days after the end of the meeting.

Delegate Assembly Position (3 year term)
The Membership, Educational Outreach, and Programs Chair is responsible for coordinating NWSA's Graduate Scholarship and Travel Grant and Registration Scholarship selection processes. These projects must be coordinated in partnership with the national office on tight deadlines in the spring each year.
Ethics, Equity, Diversity and Accessibility
The Ethics, Equity, Diversity, and Accessibility Chair works with the Governing Council and national office staff to strengthen processes and prodedures in these areas.
Program Administration and Development Co-Chair
The PAD co-chair works to plan the annual pre-conference, coordinates the PAD steering committee, runs the business meeting at the annual conference, and works to support the efforts of program administrators nationally.

Members-at-Large work individually and/or collaboratively to initiate and develop outreach activities to increase member participation in NWSA governance and NWSA activities.

All candidates must be current individual members in order to be listed on the ballot.
All candidates must complete a candidate statement.
Ballots will be mailed to individual members at the mailing address indicated on their membership form. Ballots must be returned via mail.
Completed ballots due to the Elections Chair (final U.S. postmark). If mailing internationally, please mail earlier than the May 3 postmark date to ensure inclusion in the final counts.

Positions begin at the Governing Council meeting at the end of the Conference in November.
For candidates who seek Governing Council positions, The NWSA Governing Council serves as the Board of Directors for the organization and meets twice annually: in June and November. NWSA provides limited travel support ($300 per meeting) for low-income, student, or for those Governing Council Members without institutional travel support.
