2015 NWSA Election Results

The National Women's Studies Association is pleased to announce the results of its 2015 election. We thank all of the candidates for their willingness to serve in NWSA leadership, and congratulate those who were elected. The following individuals take office in November 2015.


Elections Timeline

March 13 at 3p EST: All nominations due.  

March 16:  All candidates must be current individual members in order to be listed on the ballot.

March 20:    All candidates must complete a candidate statement.

April 3: Ballots will be mailed to individual members at the mailing address indicated on their membership form. Ballots must be returned via mail.

May 3: Completed ballots due to the Elections Chair (final U.S. postmark). If mailing internationally, please mail earlier than the May 3 postmark date to ensure inclusion in the final counts.

May 14: Announcement of election results.

November: Positions begin at the Governing Council meeting at the end of the Conference in November.

For candidates who seek Governing Council positions, The NWSA Governing Council serves as the Board of Directors for the organization and meets twice annually: in June and November. NWSA provides limited travel support ($300 per meeting) for low-income, student, or for those Governing Council Members without institutional travel support.
