Scholarships and Travel Grants

NWSA Scholarships
NWSA encourages student research and involvement at its annual conferences via scholarship awards.  For full details on how to apply for the NWSA Graduate Scholarship Award, the Lesbian Caucus Scholarship, or the Women of Color Caucus awards, please visit the NWSA scholarship pages.  Award amounts range from $400-1,000.

Conference Registration Scholarships & Travel Grants
NWSA offers a limited number of registration scholarships and travel grants to accepted presenters. Students, scholars and activists with a demonstrated need for financial assistance are encouraged to apply.  Particular consideration will be given to assisting student presenters and emerging scholars who have not previously received NWSA travel grants.  The registration scholarships and grants are also intended to encourage the participation of individuals from under-represented constituencies in the NWSA.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The National Women’s Studies Association’s (NWSA) annual conference is the nation’s preeminent meeting dedicated to women’s and gender studies issues and research. More than 1,600+ educators, researchers, students and community/cultural activists are expected to attend the 2010 conference. The conference fosters dialogue and provides an opportunity for attendees to stay current on the latest trends and research in the field.
