Report to the GC August 2006

At the business meeting it was decided that we should encourage general members to submit proposals for presentations dealing with disability issues. 

It was suggested that

• there be an index in the conference book by topic including "disability"
• that the Caucus be expanded to Supporters and Friends of Members with Disabilities Caucus (draft title of the caucus), or at least communicate the inclusive idea in conference materials
• special attention be given to the room assignment of disability related panels and meetings for maximum ease of accessibility by those with disabilities
• maps should be available showing ALL conference locations and the maps should have details such as elevator access for those with disabilities
• assistants should be available at the registration desk to guide or assist those with a with disability.
• Finally, I will develop a draft set of operating documents to share with Caucus members.
