they read through the material. She says that one of the best parts
of having a grant is the sharing that is
part of the process. She hopes you find this helpful.

+ Student Survey on Violence questionaire
In 2001 the UHM Women’s Center and Gender Equity Office secured a grant from the
US Department of Justice Violence Against Women Office to address issues of sexual and
relationship violence on our campus. This grant included the implementation of a needs
assessment. This report represents findings from this assessment.

The goals of the Campus Violence Prevention Project are to provide information about on and off-campus resources about sexual assault, rape, relationship violence, and stalking and to provide education and resources that shift the campus culture toward a community free of violence. We strive to offer excellent services in the areas of physical and mental health, academic support, and safety planning and to present many opportunities to learn about creating a non-violent culture. - Peggy Barrett, Director.
Posters
In order
to better reach out to men who batterer and the community, the Non-Violence
Alliance has developed a line of public awareness posters.
Building
upon our research
on batterers as fathers, these posters are designed to encourage
men to stop their abusive behavior by asking them to consider the
impact of their actions on their children. We also
hope that these posters will raise awareness in the community of
the link between how men behave towards their partner and outcomes
for children.
There
are three posters currently available in English and Spanish
(links below allow views of both languages). Go to www.endingviolence.com for
more information and to see the posters.

THE NWSA WOMEN'S CENTERS LISTSERV
Interested center directors and administrators (whose institutions have current membership in NWSA) should send a request to join to the listserv to Candace Rosovsky at crosovsky@gmail.com
The purpose of the CAList is to improve
communication and networking among center administrators in the
U.S., and also to provide assistance, trouble-shooting,
support, and information to each other.
This is an unmoderated discussion
list for center administrators, people involved in the nitty-gritty of developing
programming of all sorts, at all kinds of institutions. Because it is crucial
that programs support our national organization, participants must hold current
institutional membership.
