For more information on program administration in women’s studies, the PA&D Committee and Advisory Council, and services NWSA provides for administrators at the conference, please visit the conference website: http://www.nwsaconference.org/2008/padpre.php There is a $60 registration fee for the Program Administration and Development Pre-Conference. This fee is in addition to the general conference registration fee, and includes continental breakfast and lunch for those attending the pre-conference. The Program Administration and Development members gather each year for a one day event prior to the NWSA annual conference. The annual event gives members an opportunity to network; to hear speakers and attend workshops specific to program administration concerns and interests. The PAD Advisory Council consists of a diverse group of administrators. We intentionally seek representation from all the difference constituencies within the PAD, including research universities, community colleges, liberal arts colleges, etc. In addition seeking members for tthe Advisory Council, we also encourage people who are not on the advisory council to get involved by helping with our various projects. At this time, advisory council members and others are working on the women's studies programs database, curriculum transformation project, Women of Color Leadership Project, Pre Conference program, program evaluation, and program administrators' handbook. We are also interested in knowing if there are other projects that would be useful to program administrators. |
